Our Story

Alisha holds impressive titles, including Certified Equine Ergonomist with Saddle Fit 4 Life, Qualified Schleese Distributor, Accredited Bit Fitter with the School of Equine Bitting, Bitting Coach with BitBank Australia and a number of horse-riding club associated titles. With over two decades of experience with horses across various disciplines; including barrel racing, English and Western showing, dressage, equitation, eventing, and trail riding, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the equine world. Recently, she has focused primarily on dressage and liberty work, both on the ground and in the saddle.

Having coached at the local pony club and served as a judge at agricultural shows, Alisha finds immense joy in supporting the local equine community. Volunteering time and expertise to ensure events run smoothly is just as fulfilling to her as competing. she is dedicated to bringing vital skills to the area, enhancing the experience for everyone involved in the exceptional equine sports community.

However, Alisha has faced challenges along the way. There was a time when she experienced a complete loss of confidence as a horse owner and rider, feeling trapped in a cycle of painful rides. This struggle made the quest for solutions to improve [his/her/their] horse’s comfort overwhelming. Everything changed when she discovered saddle fitting concepts from SaddleFit4Life through Jochen's book, "Suffering in Silence." This discovery coincided with finding her heart horse, Arian. The timing of these events allowed Alisha to achieve riding milestones she once thought impossible and develop a bond with [his/her/their] horse that transcends words. The mutual trust they share is rooted in her commitment to prioritizing Arian’s well-being.

As she progresses on this journey, her fascination with biomechanics and ergonomics has only deepened, leading to her association with Schleese Saddles. These saddles are designed to support horses and riders worldwide through innovative, infinitely adjustable, and anatomically suitable designs—particularly those tailored for women. Recognized in the global horse industry as "The Female Saddle Specialists," Schleese is now being introduced to Northwest Victoria, Australia, by Alisha.

She is devoted not only to helping clients find the perfect fit for themselves and their horses but also to educating them on identifying factors that contribute to a pain-free saddle fit, fully aligned with the SaddleFit4Life philosophy.
